Updated over a week ago

Summary

This guide explains how to connect your Salesforce account to Astra. Once connected, you can use Salesforce actions - such as creating or updating contacts - directly within your Astra workflows.

How the connection works

When connecting your Salesforce account to Astra:

  • You sign in to your Salesforce account.

  • You authorize Astra to access your Salesforce org (organization).

  • Permissions are granted securely without sharing your login credentials.

Instructions

Follow these steps to connect your Salesforce account:

Step 1: Open a Salesforce action

  • Log into your Astra account.

  • Go to the Action Library.

  • Select a Salesforce template (for example, Create or update contact).

Note:

  • If no account is connected, a connection pop-up will appear.

  • If you already have connected accounts, click Add account on the configuration page to connect another one.

Step 2: Start the connection

  • Click Connect your Salesforce account.

  • A new authentication page will open.

Step 3: Enter connection details

You will need to provide the following:

Instance Endpoint

  • The default value is:

/services/data/v61.0
  • In most cases, you do not need to change this.

Salesforce Subdomain

  • Open your Salesforce account.

  • Click your profile avatar.

  • Copy your domain (for example: orgfarm-xxxxxxxxxx-dev-ed.develop.my).

  • Paste it into the Salesforce Subdomain field.

Step 4: Authorize access

  • On the next screen, click Allow.

  • This grants Astra permission to access your Salesforce account.

Step 5: Complete the setup

  • Once authorization is complete, close the authentication page.

  • Return to Astra.

You will be redirected to the action configuration screen, where:

  • Your newly connected Salesforce account will appear in the account list.

  • You can start using it immediately in your workflows.

What to do next

After connecting your account, you can:

  • Select the connected Salesforce account in your actions

  • Automate tasks like creating or updating contacts

  • Manage multiple Salesforce accounts if needed

Your Salesforce integration is now ready to use in Astra.
