How lead qualification works
Wati uses a smart qualification process to guide conversations and evaluate leads based on the criteria you define.
Here’s how it works:
Start with BANT or customize your own criteria
BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) is the default template.
You can choose to use BANT or replace it with your own custom criteria depending on your industry and business needs.
Set qualification questions
For each criterion (e.g., Budget), write the question your AI agent should ask.
These questions will help the agent gather the right information during the conversation.
Define lead categories
Write rules in natural language that describe what qualifies as a Hot, Warm, Cold, or Unqualified lead based on the answers.
Automatic lead evaluation
During the conversation, the agent will:
Ask the right questions
Capture the lead’s responses
Qualify the lead using our built-in Qualification IQ
Assign scores and labels
Each lead will be automatically given a score and categorized (e.g., Hot, Warm).
This makes it easy for your team to follow up efficiently.
Additional customization options
You can further fine-tune the qualification setup by:
Editing questions for each criterion
Adjusting weightage to prioritize certain criteria over others
Adding new criteria specific to your business
Defining conditions for how each criterion affects the lead score
This flexible setup ensures your lead qualification process aligns with your business goals and customer journey.
