Wati’s AI agent learns from your content automatically. You don’t need to label data or go through complex training steps. Just upload or link the resources you want the agent to learn from.
Here’s what you can provide:
1. Website links
Add links to your company’s official website or any relevant pages that contain important business information, such as:
Help center articles
Product or pricing pages
Blog posts with how-tos or announcements
You can easily train your AI agent by adding your website as a source. Here's how to do it in just a few steps:
Steps to add a website source
Log in to your Astra account.
Go to your Sales Agent:
Click Sales Agent in the left-hand menu.
Choose the agent you want to train.
Open the training section:
Under the selected agent, click Training.
Add a new source:
Click the Add Sources button.
You’ll see options to:
Add a Website
Upload a Document
Add Q&A Pairs
Choose Website:
Make sure Website is selected.
Enter your website URL:
Paste the URL of your website.
Click the Crawl website button to begin.
Select pages to train on:
Once the crawl is complete, a list of all web pages (including sub-pages) will appear.
Review the list and select the pages you want your agent to learn from.
Start training:
Click the Train agent button.
The system will now begin training your agent using the selected web pages.
That’s it! Your agent will start using the new content to respond more accurately based on your website’s information.
2. Documents
Upload files that include useful product or support content, like:
Product manuals
Pricing sheets
FAQs
Onboarding guides
Supported formats include:
PDF
Word (.docx)
Plain text (.txt)
Markdown (.md)
You can easily train your AI agent by uploading documents as well. Here's how to do it in just a few steps:
Steps to upload a document as a source
Log in to your Astra account.
Go to your Sales Agent:
Click Sales Agent in the left-hand menu.
Choose the agent you want to train.
Open the training section:
Under the selected agent, click Training.
Add a new source:
Click the Add Sources button.
You’ll see options to:
Add a Website
Upload a Document
Add Q&A Pairs
Upload a document:
Make sure Document is selected.
Either drag and drop or click on the upload area to upload the document.
Start training:
Click the Train agent button.
The system will now begin training your agent using the uploaded document.
That’s it! Your agent will start using the new content to respond more accurately based on the information in your document.
3. Q&A pairs
Want to teach the agent specific answers? You can define clear Question-and-Answer pairs. For example:
Q: What’s your refund policy?
A: We offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase...
This helps the agent give accurate and consistent responses to commonly asked questions.
Steps to upload question and answer pairs as a source
Log in to your Astra account.
Go to your Sales Agent:
Click Sales Agent in the left-hand menu.
Choose the agent you want to train.
Open the training section:
Under the selected agent, click Training.
Add a new source:
Click the Add Sources button.
You’ll see options to:
Add a Website
Upload a Document
Add Q&A Pairs
Add your questions and answers:
Make sure Q&A is selected.
Add your question and answer to train the agent.
If you want to add more Q&A's, click on Add Q&A button and continue adding your question and answers.
Once you are done adding Q&A's. Click the Train agent button.
The system will now begin training your agent using the uploaded document.
That’s it! Your agent will start using the newly added question and answers content to respond more accurately.
4. Coming soon: 3rd-party knowledge base integrations
You'll soon be able to connect knowledge bases hosted on platforms like:
Notion
Google Drive
Confluence
And more
This will make it even easier to sync your content directly without uploading files manually.
Once your sources are added, Wati will process the information automatically. Your AI agent will then start using that knowledge to respond more accurately to customer queries.
