How to personalise the AI agent to reflect your company brand

When you create an AI agent in Astra, it automatically sets up branding and business context using your website content. But if you’d like to fine-tune the details—like the agent’s name, welcome message, or sales profile—you can easily customize everything to match your brand and sales goals. This guide shows you how.

Instructions

You can update both the look and feel of your AI agent as well as the business context it uses to understand and represent your brand.

Note: If you have the hex code of the color, you can directly copy/paste the code.

1. Customize your AI agent’s branding

These changes affect how the widget appears on your website and how the agent interacts with potential customers:

  • Display name – This is the name customers will see on the chat widget.

  • Welcome message – The message that greets users when they first open the chat.

  • Conversation starters – Predefined questions to kick off the conversation.

  • Brand logo – The logo displayed on the chat widget.

  • Color theme – Customize the widget colors to match your brand.

  • Footer Branding – Customize and change the default "Powered by Astra" footer branding to reflect your brand.

Note: Option to customize footer branding is available on Astra's Business plan only.

Tip: On the right side of the screen, you can preview how the widget will look on your website.

2. Update your brand details under Business Context

Providing accurate brand details helps the AI agent better represent your company. You can update:

  • Brand name

  • Brand URL

  • About the brand – A short description to help the agent understand your company’s identity and purpose.

3. Add sales-related information to boost performance

To help your AI agent qualify leads and support sales more effectively, consider adding:

  • Typical deal value – Average transaction amount.

  • Sales cycle length – How long it usually takes to close a deal.

  • Ideal customer profile – Key traits of your best-fit customers.

  • Customer segments – Types of buyers you target.

  • Geographic focus – Regions or markets your business serves.

Once you’ve made all your updates, make sure to click the Save button to apply the changes.

The more accurate and detailed this information is, the smarter your AI agent becomes. A well-trained agent can act like a skilled sales assistant - qualifying leads, handling objections, and helping you close more deals.
