How to connect your Wati account to Astra

Updated this week

Summary

This guide explains how to connect your Wati account to Astra so you can use Wati actions in your automation workflows. Once connected, Astra can perform actions such as creating or updating contacts using your Wati account.

You only need to connect your Wati account once, and the same connection will be reused across all Wati actions.

Instructions

Connect your Wati account in Astra

To use Wati actions in Astra, you first need to connect your Wati account. Follow these steps:

  • Log into your Astra account.

  • Open the Action Library in Astra.

  • Select a Wati action such as Create or Update Contact.

  • Start the workflow that requires a Wati connection.

At this point, Astra will prompt you to connect your Wati account.

Important notes

  • If you sign in using Wati SSO, the connection is configured automatically using your SSO token. You can immediately start using Wati actions without setting up the connection manually.

  • You only need to connect Wati once. All Wati actions share the same connection.

1. Connect using Wati login (recommended)

This is the easiest way to connect your account.

  • Click Connect via Wati.

  • You will be redirected to the Wati login page.

  • Sign in to your Wati account.

  • Grant Astra permission to access your account.

After authorization, Astra will automatically create the connection and link your Wati account.

2. Connect manually using API credentials

If you prefer to configure the connection manually, you can use your Wati API credentials.

  • Click Setup manually.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Wati Access Token

    • API Endpoint

  • Submit the information to complete the connection.

Note: To find your Wati access token and API endpoint, log in to your Wati account and navigate to Connectors → API → API Docs.

Reuse the connection for other Wati actions

Once your Wati account is connected:

  • You can use it in any Wati action within Astra.

  • The same connection is automatically reused across all Wati workflows.

  • You do not need to reconnect for each action.

Disconnect your Wati account

If you need to remove the connection:

  • Open any Wati action in your workflow.

  • Locate the Wati connection section.

  • Click the Edit button.

  • Select Disconnect.

This will remove the connection between Astra and your Wati account.
