How the action works
When this action is triggered:
The current conversation is assigned to your HubSpot user
The AI agent stops responding to the customer
A human agent can continue the conversation from HubSpot
This ensures a smooth handoff from automation to human support when needed.
Instructions
Follow these steps to set up the action:
Step 1: Start the connection flow
Log into your Astra account
Go to the Action Library in Astra
Select the HubSpot - assign to user action
When you open this action, a connection pop-up will appear (even if your HubSpot account is already connected)
Step 2: Connect your HubSpot account
Click Connect HubSpot account
In the pop-up window, select the HubSpot account you want to use
Step 3: Connect the HubSpot app
You will be redirected to a HubSpot page
Click Connect app to authorize Astra
Once completed, you will be redirected back to Astra
Step 4: Configure the action
Enter the action name and intent
Review the configuration page
You will see your connected account ID
You can click Disconnect if you want to switch accounts
Step 5: Complete HubSpot setup
Log into your Hubspot account and click Go settings
You will be redirected to your HubSpot inbox settings
Click Continue with Astra
Configure the assignment details as needed
Save your settings
Once completed:
A new channel will be created in your HubSpot inbox
Step 6: Save the action
Return to Astra
Click Save to complete the setup
