This includes updating the agent name, welcome message, conversation starters, call-to-action buttons, and widget appearance. These settings control how the chat widget appears on your website and how the AI agent interacts with potential customers.

Access the branding settings

To start customizing your AI agent’s branding in Astra:

  • Log in to your Astra account.

  • Go to Agents.

  • Click the agent you want to modify.

  • From the menu on the top-left side, click Branding.

You can now update the branding and appearance of the chat widget for that agent.

Branding elements you can customize

Customizing your AI agent’s branding helps ensure the chat experience on your website reflects your brand and guides customers toward the actions you want them to take.

The following elements can be customized:

Agent display name

The agent display name is the name shown to customers on the chat widget. This helps users identify who they are interacting with during the conversation.

Welcome message

The welcome message is the first message users see when they open the chat widget. Use this message to greet visitors and encourage them to start a conversation.

Conversation starters

Conversation starters are predefined questions or prompts that appear in the chat widget. They help users quickly begin a conversation by selecting a suggested topic.

Quick action (call-to-action) button

The quick action button is a call-to-action button displayed at the top of the chat window. It helps guide users toward a specific action, such as booking a demo, contacting sales, or visiting an important page.

Appearance and placement

The appearance and placement settings allow you to customize how the chat widget looks and appears on your website. This includes:

  • Color theme – Match the widget colors with your brand identity.

  • Profile picture – Display a custom profile image for the AI agent.

  • Footer branding – Customize or replace the default widget footer branding.

Note: The option to customize footer branding is available only on Astra’s Pro and Business plans.
